Meeting die hard Rafa fans from around the globe is like being in a club. Sitting on the bus heading to the airport, we met “tres mujeres”, one with his logo tattooed on her wrist. She won his essay contest describing his “passion” for the sport, earning her and a friend to visit   his old club, a visit with Rafa and dinner at his parent’s restaurant.      I had to take this picture of a little French tennis fan. His father said yes, because Rafa fans are proud of our man. We are all in the ”Vamos” club.

Watching Rafa slide, suffer, punch it out, rally for twenty-five hits, use his drop shot in the most opportune time, riveting drop shots, volleying put aways on the terre battue is riveting. I have seen Rafa play in Monte Carlo, one of the most beautiful courts in the ATP, Roland Garros, US Open, Rogers Cup in Montreal and the Miami Open.     Watching in real life is awe inspiring.
