Most Embarrassing Moment

Ann called me from the bushes whispering, “I am right next to the practice court. Come join me!” I found her. She had climbed through a hole in the bushes and was at the fence. So did I chastise her? Nah. I looked both ways, I climbed through the bushes and hid with her. I was so proud. Watching my tennis icon was an amazing experience until he took a break. He his and his Spanish team walked to our end of the court to sit and talk. We were literally two feet from them. Sometimes our   enthusiasm can get the best of us.
Do we say “hola”? Do we stop breathing? What must he be thinking? Because of his intensity, maybe he did not notice us. I did not think so. Soon enough, he rose to resume his practice and we both sighed in relief. That was 2010 when he won his first U.S. Open.
With neither defending champion returning, this grand slam will be very different.
